Cedomir Kolar

Cedomir Kolar is a Croatian producer born in Rijeka on the Adriatic coast . His graduated in film production at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. Since 1991 , he has been working for Noe Productions Paris . He produced Before the Rain by Milcho Manchevski and Danis Taniv's first films . In 2001 , he produced No Man's Land Danis Tanovic, which won the Golden Globe , the Oscar for best foreign movie and a Cesar and Prix de la Mise en Scène in Cannes .

He created his own production company based in Paris, ASAP Films , in collaboration with film director Danis Tanovic and Marc Baschet in 2003. In 2005, A.S.A.P. Film produced the new film by Danis Tanovic , Hell, written by Krzysztof Piesiewicz in collaboration with Krzysztof Kieslowski and Well Temered Corpses by Benjamin Filipovic . Then followed Sounds Of Sand directed by Marion Hansel in 2006 , Danis Tanovic's Triage and Besa by Srdjan Karanovic in 2008. In 2010 , he produced Womb by Benedek Fliegauf, The Light Thief by Aktan Abdykalykov , Cirkus Colombia by Danis Tanovic and Black Ocean by Marion Hänsel . Lately , he has worked with Marion Hansel on Tenderness , with Danis Tanovic on An Episode in the Life of an Ironpicker and with Ritesh Batra on his debut footage , Lunchbox , selected at the Critics' Week in 2013.

Cedomir Kolar was elected at the Council of the European Film Awards in 2004.
